Behind the Vision

With over 50 years of combined experience, our team is made up of current and former central office leaders, principals, teachers, and specialists in student support, special education, and federal programs. Our mission is to turn absenteeism challenges into attendance triumphs by partnering with educators to design and achieve lasting student success stories.

Meet the team

Dr. Beshon Trusty

Founder & Executive Director

Dr. Beshon Trusty has spent the past 28 years of her professional career using the transformative power of education to change the lived experiences of students, families, and communities. She has partnered with school districts across the country to provide leadership and guidance on comprehensive and strategic initiatives that improve student attendance, strengthen student achievement, and cultivate strong school climates. She holds a Ph. D. from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County and a master’s degree from the City University of New York-Baruch College. Contact: btrusty@educatorempowerment.org

Nye Trusty

Nye Trusty is a former middle school teacher and educational leadership coach who harnesses the liberatory power of education to cultivate spaces of wellness and belonging. As a certified yoga instructor and spiritual life coach, she creates holistic wellness experiences that empower educators and leaders to recognize and capitalize on their innate strengths. Nye holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland-College Park and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Allie Evans

Allie Evans is an innovative and strategic leader with over a decade of experience in education. Her expertise encompasses federal programs monitoring and compliance, special education laws and teaching practices, academic and behavioral interventions and, leading teams through complex and comprehensive transformations. Allie has a master’s degree from North Carolina State University.
